Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette Review

If I ever do a post called ‘ Bloggers made me buy it’ then this Sleek Solstice Highlighting Palette would definitely be a feature. After reading so many amazing reviews I finally caved in and went out to Superdrug to use some points that I had going spare and treated myself.

Sleek isn’t a brand that hasn’t been mentioned on my blog before as you can read my review on the au naturel eyeshadow palettecream contour palette and some of my top 10 drugstore favourites post. The Sleek blushes are some of my favourite products as they are very pigmented, come in a variety of shades as there is even a Nars ‘Orgasm’ dupe so why would I not love another powder product from this brand. I love how they have gone away from their classic sleek black packaging to a metallic gold casing which makes this look like a luxury high-end product and not to mention a beautiful product to feature on your Instagram/blog props.

In this palette are three soft powders and one cream, sometimes I prefer powders over cream as I find them easier to blend.

The cream based shade Ecliptic is designed for inner corners of the eye and the brow bone to add a soft glow which it does but if you prefer a really noticeable glow then I’d say use the powders and dab it on with your finger for a better coverage.

The three powders come in pink Hemisphere, bronze Equinor, and cream Subsolar all giving off a metallic sheen instead of specs of glitter. All these colours work well with pale skin and don’t be put off by the colours in the palette as they appear different on your face.

For a more natural look, I’d recommend using a fan brush to lightly sweep on your cheekbones but for a more intense glow that’s really impressive for any drugstore highlighter I’ve used before then you can pat the product on. The staying power on these highlighters is pretty impressive as they last 12+ hours on me. For a travel-friendly, lightweight compact mirror included highlighter palette that costs £10, what’s not worth giving this a try as I’m sure you’ll love this as much as I do.

This highlighter looks amazing! I have often thought of ordering it, but it's a bit harder to get harder to get in the US.
